also, we have max 130 essays or something from barbri. where would you even get 15-20 essays per subject? or does your state only have 10 subjects? |

- went to bonnaroo
- watch lectures
- made initial flashcards off lectures
- drilled some on iphone and chilled for a few days
- filled in gaps in flascards observed through drilling using outline
- read through the main outline 2-3x each for each subject between 7 and 21 days from the bar
- drilled moar
MBE was 165 or 6 |

There is just something to be said for being only on your own schedule with SUCH a shitty curve to compete against. It was a great summer: got shredded, saw some great bands, made a lot of money playing poker, spent my last months of freedom with close childhood friends, and pwned the bar.

My problem right now is I do great after I study the material for 3-4 hours, but two days later when I try questions cold I don't do as well. I'd like to not have to wake up before the day of the MBE and study for 3-4 hours. |

I wrote LAY WITNESS as one header and underneath i put PERSONAL KNOWLEDGE (another header) and then explained that. what is really bothering me is that my headers are sometimes/always different from the sample answer and this is what is frustrating me!!! |

You know DP + EP will be heavily tested, so you spend more time on that. With evidence you spend a lot of time on hearsay and its exceptions, but less time on random shit that pops up in the CMR. I don't have it in front of me, but there's always a few things in each CMR section that seem out of place/just tossed in there to cover their bases. This is the shit I just read but don't make any attempt to memorize.
EDIT: The difference between 5th/6th amendment rights is something I'm not spending nights worrying about for evidence. |

I really don't think NY Practice is that hard to remember. Just know the contribution rules, impleader, and settlement by co-parties (and Article 16), know the gist of the S/Ls, know what affirmative defenses are NOT waived in a pre-trial motion to dismiss; there's only 3 (why the fuck we actually would need to ever memorize DOWNFALL and SPARERIBS, I will never know), and know the basic idea of pre-arbitration court review. Personal jurisdiction is just your generic Civ Pro shit except for the long-arm categories (remember, can't sue for defamation under long-arm).
