About twice a year. Used to be a pothead but gave that up when I was 22.

Seemingly not taboo at my firm. Associates and partners have talked about it openly even in front of me as a summer associate. Joking and talking about it approvingly. I'm sure it depends on the company though. One associate is widely known as being fond of weed. The firm has somewhat of a party culture.

However despite all this, I haven't yet seen or heard of co-workers toking together. I think the talk is bigger than any reality.

i've only met one biglaw partner who ever gave a shit about pot use and he was mad about specific partners needing to get high in the garage before work. smoking versus drinking alone is quite encouraged.

if you've ever been to a biglaw office on fri between 4-6 the number of unscheduled visitors showing up at both associates and partners' offices for 5-10 min meetings is pretty funny.

ya that's pretty crazy. typically you need to have office visitors sign in with an ID in the building lobby. i've never seen shady drug dealing looking dudes come through an office in a big building in MFH.
