if the company has its headquarters in flyover country, its more likely than not that the CEO went to some random school in flyover country

SMU has a rep as a rich kid school, more likely than not that these 3 dudes where pretty well connected from the get go, more likely than SMU Law having any CEO creating factors

A family friend went to SMU Law--trades energy at a Dallas hedge fund and makes some serious bank I'm sure. He came from a well off and connected family (not his parents, but a wealthy uncle and other relatives). SMU has a lot of these wealthy or connected southern types. Ditto for Washington & Lee.
