As someone who just went from NYC big law to dc big law I can say that yes this is correct. Much better hours in dc and more predictable too. Also less fire drills that keep you physicallly in the office forever. The partners just seem to want to get back to nova at the end of the day. Finally, the 160 scale seems to go a lot further in dc; the rent especially is a lot cheaper
