5 year ADA taking questions abuse (again)

We generally turn everything over. The only exceptions I can think of are things such as victim's address, phone numbers, etc and things like informants who have an ongoing relationship with the police. There is very specific case law on that stuff, though. |

I wanted to be an AUSA when I first got out of law school, and am starting to apply for those jobs. Otherwise, may insurance defense, something like that. I'm not ready to completely sell out and go criminal defense yet. |

In my cases, it is almost guarenteed that the attorney is going to ask for a continuance, simply so the client can cough up the necessary dough. |

Btw I would seriously recommend going to a firm where a partner will be on your ass to squeeze every past billable out of you. It would be a rude awakening I imagine coming from a nice govt gig |

I work 50-60, twice that if in trial. Some supers are assholes; some handsoff. It just depends on the personality. But there is a chance to get on a power trip for the wrong type of asshole. |

I.e. can someone who's magna at T14, 1 year Biglaw, generic law civil background compete with some hotshot from the local TTT who's obviously been gunning for DA/crim law his whole life?
And I guess, is this at all the same rigid career path as private firms, where you're either entry level or 3-4 years experienced, and you're outta luck in between? |
