ie, "okay, we see that this event will require transportation from new jersey into manhattan, but with the proposed security arrangements, how will everyone be able to get there on time?"

Yeah we can't do it. City just doesn't have the infrastructure for it. We can barely accommodate the number of tourists we get during regular tourist season (summer/winter holidays).

this. london can pitch shit like "we will revitalize east london and save blighted neighborhoods!!!" and nyc can pitch shit like "we'll build the stadium on top of penn station and save the west side... where rent is astronomical!"

also, the us has hosted both summer and winter a lot in the last few decades, so its hard to justify giving another bid, especially if its not awesome or if there are decent bids on the table.

too many up and coming regions putting in bids plus the IOC's european bias. they aren't going to give the us more of a shot than all the western european countries even though half of them are worse off economically.
