biglaw ain't a death sentence bro, assuming you ain't an idiot (pay down debt/save diligently, no lifestyle inflation, etc) you should have a nice equity cushion and a marketable resume in a few years. Make the jump to nicer ship (fed/state gov, inhouse, open a bakery) and you are golden.

i actually don't mind biglaw. working for decent people goes a long way for this. yea the hours are long and the work is boring. but you know what your getting yourself into and for most people there is a finite timeline. keep your eyes on that finish line
