New associate. Most days I have no idea what's going on and I feel like I can't ask other people. Half the time I don't even know what questions to ask; other times I stew in my ignorance rather than ask questions out of fear of sounding stupid. I'm flying this plane blind, and it's causing me major stress and anxiety.
Does it get better brothers?

wait...you mean you don't just GET to make millions because you got a law degree from CLS or Northwestern or Georgetown (or some other elite school)?
this makes no sense AT ALL? you meant to tell me competition exists?
this is mind blowing.

*asks a question*
*gets stare like you are asking them to do your work for you*
*is given vague answer and told to look it up*

It's a prison sentence, bro,
Luckily for you, you are joining during a good economy, so hopefully there will be a good job environment three years out,
Of course, the last time Biglaw had a big bonus season, the economy promptly went to shit. Hopefully that doesn't again.

this is entirely correct
if you don't know how to prepare a type of doc, ask some midlevels if they have any precedent docs. As you prepare types of docs, build your own precedent library (keeping precedents people send you) so you never ask twice
if you don't know law, your job is to learn it. It is OK if you have to spend several hours reading a treatise before you dive into the specific issue.
if you don't understand your instructions/know what to do next, then ask the next senior person. Best way to do this is to come with your own idea of what to do next, and then when you speak to senior, you're like "the current situation is X, so I was thinking Y is best course of action, do you agree?" or something. Or, alternatively, just do the next thing and discuss with senior after you're done (caveat - if next step is to talk/send something to client or other outside party, always ask first)
