9am-10pm Sunday-Thursday (with occasional early morning or late night)

9am-7pm Friday, Saturday

Repeated for almost 3 months.

Lost all interest in practicing law and in life by the end.

At a firm, yes. Not at that firm. I was paid market with no bonus. Actually didn't make my hours due to having nothing to do after the case ended.

Yes, I left the country for almost a month. I never really got much work after that, and was eventually pushed out.

Various places in Europe. I didn't really tell anybody at the firm. I had nothing going on so I was able to get away with it.

Are you kidding me? At your reviews what did you talk about? We're you candid that you deserved the time off and thought it was unfair how your work had dried up afterwards? Did the elude to mistakes you made during trial? Did you tell them they get what they pay for?

Just to clarify, I was actually pushed out over a year later. So I had like a 15 month stretch in there where I billed something like 700 hours total.

1-2 months before trial: 9:30/10am - 9/10PM monday-thurs, fri til 7pm, sat/sun, noon-7/8pm.

4 weeks before trial: same schedule as above but insert 3-4 nights of all-nighters where we went home and slept from 10am-2pm before coming back in to continue working.

actual trial (1 week): 5am-9/10pm.

the worst part was the all nighters were in preparation for making a joint trial exhibit list where each of the 4 parties just made various retarded objections and none of it even made any difference in the end.

i took 3 weeks off for vacation after trial.
