3rd year NYC biglaw, 185k. Firm is V50. LiTTTigation. My reviews are good, have a decent amount of work, but firm is a miserable sweatshop, lots of facetime bs. don't see myself getting shitcanned for at least another year.

Interviewed w/ "boutique" lit firm. Pay is lower, around ~150. Pretty typical midlaw I guess. More substantive experience and lower hours I guess. Associates all seem to have been there for a while.

Do it?

Depends on how burned out you are. You'll likely have a similar opportunity in a year or two, after you get the big 4th year bump so you can stack a little more paper. It sounds like the midlaw firm will be a marginally better lifestyle, and there's something to be said for working at a place where you might be able to stay long term. I was in a similar position and took it, but I hated biglaw and needed a change just to stay in the "profession."
