If you do all your time in one day at the end of the month and keep no records you basically just go back through your email and find tasks you did and then make up an amount of time that you think you can get away with claiming. It's a delightful mix of overbilling for specific items and under billing overall, which seems fair because both clients and lawyer get screwed.
