Date: December 4th, 2013 5:07 PM Author: Bespoke Indigo Library Toaster So, I have another in-house interview next week. I am meeting with like 8 ppl. It is almost an entire day of interviewing. I have 30-min to 1-hour slots with either an individual person or two people at a time.
What should I expect? Any more questions about qualifications?
Note: My second interview was with the hiring attorney. |

Also your interviewers depend on where they are in the cycle may be more inquisitive or annoyed, because if not yet you'll be like the 20th person dragging them from work and making them stay late.
Also, some of them may not be attorneys, they could be biz or ops people that liase with the position a lot, so be sure to ask questions like "how would I work with you and what are you looking for and here is what I have to offer etc" |

Both companies are in the financial realm but have different roles. They are both in different cities too. |

In my case I was interviewing at places that all worked w/each other that had a vendor relationship or were competitors. Some asked, so I just briefly mentioned that w/out names. There were a few places where I was interviewing in one spot, and I would have probably been opposite the table of the interviewers had I gotten the position.
In this economy they can pick exactly what they want out of a pool of 10 desperate drones, so you won't gain any leverage. The only gain is if they question "why our type of company" and you can indicate your interested for xyz and have indeed been interviewing for similar positions already. That can show your interest in the general subject matter type of role, if they are the same. |

fit will be important so i guess you should figure out sort of culture the company has and what sort of personalities work there.
i wouldn't bring up other suitors unless there are specific questions about it. in-house is not impressed if you have other options. there are prob 100 other people begging for this job. |

Date: December 6th, 2013 1:02 AM Author: bateful honey-headed psychic I met with both business and legal side folk. It really is all about fit at this point for you - you will be able to tell right away whether they like you or not depending on their body language and facial expressions.
Just ask yourself what kind of person do they seem like, what are their interests, what kind of colleague do they want? You need to be able to act accordingly.
I would say in most cases, trying to be super "buddy buddy" comes off as horribly fake at best, and a conniving scheming politiking back-stabber at worst. Be humble, modest, friendly, confident. Your resume says all they need to know about your qualifications. |

Then just basically be blunt and say you're trying to get them more business but they have to show you the love. They understand the game.
Don't bother w/the associate and move on w/your life. |
