This. Just keep shooting 'em out there and cross your fingers. Possibly work a SPS service industry job if you need some cash in the meantime.
It sounds like finding a job in Law is impossible, and if that's what you're trying to find a job in, I'm sorry brother.
Out of school it took me ~300 apps (not in law, though) to land my first position. I got an interview about every ~40-50 submissions, and never got any interest if I was applying out of state.
Make sure you are putting a lot the keywords of the job poasting in your resume and on the application (esp. if its a Brassring or Taleo submission).
It's tough out there, and when you finally do land a position, you're going really wonder why you were locked out of the working world. Three weeks into employment, you'll be whizzing through tasks, lapping your co-workers (incompetent shitboomers and "best of both worlds, yeah whatever, man, we don't complain" shit-x'ers) as if you were James Hunt in 1976.
Keep up the fight. When you do finally reach the summit, you'll look around and see the inefficiency around you. Just imagine if they were all efficient wizard Millennials like yourself, 30% of the workforce would be gone, and you wouldn't have this job.
Godspeed

its simple.
1. get clients, set up an llc.
2. hire yourself.
3. ensure you meet payroll.

okay bros, some updates
-- got 3 interview invites, 1 for a 2nd tier management consulting company, 1 for a super small mba entrepreneurs "creative" marketing consultancy, 1 for managing an outdoor companys events
i ignored the marketing consultanting company (sorta regret it now, tbf the ceo was an m7 alum but the place reeked of TTT), and also ignored the outdoor company (im not athletic at all atm)
i interviewed with the MC and my anxiety is through the fucking ROOF no idea how i did interviewer was really non chalant from the start
fuckfuckfuckfuck
also the book rasqie talked about seems 180000
today i applied their "networking" method, next week hopefully something pans out from it/i hear back from the MC firm
really really regret ignoring the marketing firm, but then again, i would just start another job search while there and end up fucking them over so w/e

its really complicated but tbh for an analytic guy like me its the best networking guide i have found. its also just 1 part of the book. author seems like a really experienced/intelligent guy, and is career dude @ duka MBA.
basically it goes:
1. find alums @ firms you are targetting (it has a method for creating a list for firms). if no alums it gives other methods.
2. send email using template (guy says its a 40% hit rate)
3. do phone interviews (teaches u really great methods for them)
4. get them to internally submit ur resume
5. get interview (book stops short of interview + beyond)

I'm 1300 apps in and I've gotten 2 legit offers that weren't embarrassing opportunities. Sucks out there.
One piece of advice: if they use Taleo and those ridiculous online portals, just ignore. They're giant wastes of time. 25% of the time you fill it out and then it won't send or freeze and you've wasted an hour.

I was top of my class in a T20 trying for a job in NYC. Any job. Even assistant manager at Duane reade.

3.6-7 gpa from an okay not great college
some shit work experience
entry level shit in different industries
I just find a job I like, and then write a cover letter explaining why I want to do it/why I'm qualified. For applicant tracking systems I alter my resume and include words from the job posting.

thought I'd update my brehs:
I followed the book rasqie recommended to a T. just did a tally on my cold emails -- got an exact 40% (6/15) response rate just like the book said.
I have 2 phone conversations set up, 3 more in the pipeline that I am waiting on an email back to confirm time/date. the other response was by a dude that just copy pasted some generic response and told me to basically read the website and msg recruiter.

rasqie mentioend a book and i found a pdf online, linked it above
following the books method 110% and its working to a T
i can take my time and relax now since i can actually see progress vs. shooting resumes in to a black hole
honestly this method makes so much sense too
def think i can at last break in to an elite firm

very receptive. i have >40% response rate.
they vary but i would say like 75% have led to an interview thus far. 1 was a generic see the website response. 1 was a sry we only go through on campus recruiting. but another 1 was straight up invite for recruitment session over the phone. BTW none of these people have even seen my resume. and i don't really have a web presence. my linkedin is like barely filled.
btw these aren't mom and pop firms, but top 10 firms in their field.
i literally just started this a couple days ago and shit is already blowing up.
i can basically "see the matrix" now of the "hidden job market" and all that bullshit networking fluff for realz now.
edit: lol just got another email to set up an interview with a top 10 firm. the guy is also super high level, like literally retiring soon.

8 informational interviews over the phone

Before I read the linked pdf; does it work in a small community environment?
I am looking to jump jobs but my profession, and especially the sub-specialization, is pretty tight-knit. Will the sending of random emails to alums backfire?

you're a hater
short term - 2 months max
results - 2-3 interviews, 2-3 hot leads i did not pursue for an interview, 2-3 chances for developing hot leads
this isn't going overboard at all. i was just venting on the board. there hasn't been any set backs, just need to take some 5-htp and go for a run or something.
btw have a resume/cover letter screen follow up call with an alum at a top 3 firm in a couple hours.
