Why do so many late middle Aged Male Lawyers have pony Tales?

I have never been able to understand this but has anyone noticed how so many older guy lawyers in their late 40's and 50's have pony tails. Alot of them totally gray. IS it a fashion thing? Or just an aging hippy thing. I realize in court they need to keep their long hair in pony tails. I just don't see when it become the in thing for middle aged male lawyers to have hair growing down to their behinds. Kenny Rogers style.

Erbert: I haven't gotten any stats really but I've been in many court rooms for one reason or another and everytime you see at least 1 lawyer with a long gray ponytail. Plus try checking out court TV sometime. before you know it you'll see the pony tails. It's a stupid thing to wonder about, but I'm just facinated for some reason.xDDDD
