Finally reached a settlement with the insurance company for 40k. This may not seem like a lot, but it is almost a quarter of my homes value. And will allow us to completely renovate the first floor.
Plus we now have a four room suite with a kitchenette at a very very nice local hotel for the next month. All courtesy of Liberty Mutual and my 500 dollar deductible. Plus, due to the nature of the claim, I have it in writing that my rate will not be impacted. They were very nice and generous. I don't get the perception that these guys fight tooth and nail to deny claims. |
