I am trying to help a buddy exit the doc review game. I have given him my story (although I can be back in any day). I was just wondering whether there are any other stories...besides hanging up a shingle, which this individual would never do.
Any stories, recipes for success.
Went to 50-100 Law school, finished middle of the pack, no real extracurricular activities and graduated in 2012 (Age:29). Has been doing doc review for a solid year now, perhaps a bit longer.
Any advice would be much appreciated. I think he is starting to lose his mind a bit. I don't see him much, probably once a month or so, but he has become more depressed and it's pretty sad and besides telling him to apply, what else can he do.

His biggest complaint, and he has been doing it for over a year now, is that he doesn't know how to answer certain questions during interviews.
The job is too legal to cast it as something else, but at the same time, doesn't translate easily into another position.
It just sucks for him. He has become way more reclusive and his self-esteem has definitely been shot. The job, in general, is regarded as pretty sub-human. I did language review and there is at least a little more leverage in that, depending on the language.
