The tricky part for the new party would be to give religious people enough comfort without being drawn into non-stop culture war issues, but rather shift the conversation to economics and the common ground between the formerly middle class, whether gay paraders or church goers.

you just dont have a 2 party system where one party dominates forever. eventually the GOP will adjust to reality. This will probably involve making a fair amount of concessions or at least the appearance of concessions, but the real key is to dominate the narrative. people are ready for a populist message of unification. the divisive shtick of dems is growing tired.
the biggest thing standing in GOP's way is the left's nasty trick of portraying the GOP as racist, hating, etc. This is all an optics issue and can be fixed while still maintaining conservative principles. |
