If you are currently enrolled in the IBR, ICR or PAYE (20 year) program, and the $57,500 cap will NOT apply.
If you are currently enrolled in IBR (25 years and 15% of discretionary income) and want to OPT IN to the new, more generous IBR (10%) or PAYE laid out in this proposal, you are changing the terms of your repayment and the $57,500 cap will apply.
