It's a pretty decent gig; I'm getting supervisory experience and besides days like today where I'll be working trying to get something out the door to hit a deadline, usually the day before a holiday i'm chilling.
my job is pretty interesting but can get dull at times. but I don't give a shit. It's a job--it pays for my life outside of work. |

That said, LOL at the idea of a 30-something with probably a JD living with roommates bragging about how he lives it up. But I will concede saving the $$$ must be nice.
I know a 32 year old who worked their way up from 11 to 14 finally, but now they're saying it may never get any better and GS-15 is a pipe dream. I wouldn't mind it if I were 40 and could max out and get the pension, but with cuts I doubt the pension will be much in a few decades

i love having roomies. one's a girl and the other s a dude. the girl has cute friends over all the time who are instantly fair game.
