Date: July 6th, 2014 12:04 AM Author: Diverse Coiffed House Alpha i am paying $$$ so i can go to work on a sunday at 7am (with a 90minute commute) and go home at 8pm and then work at 7am monday and so on. there is absolutely no collegiality in residencies. hospital employees are closer to city-parks employees than to banks or any prestigious institutions.
so is there any way to get out of medicine? even if after medicine? any way to move to moscow or paris and have your own office with a hot secretary?? and walk under those tall trees to work carefree?? |

lol ph.d. thats 4yrs of not getting paid. i dont need a ph.d to get into research, could just do it after residency. but i dont think their job is any easier. you only get tenure track if you got your own lab and authored a bunch of papers. i think that takes like 10yrs after residency. meanwhile u work harder and make less $$ than in private practice during those 10yrs. and it's possible that u'll never get that tenure. |
