Do employers actually ask shit like this at OCI?
• Describe a time when you didn't succeed and what you learnt from it.
• Describe a time you showed leadership.
• How did you rise to the occasion?
• How much time would you spend polishing a draft to get the little points right?
• Can you describe a particularly challenging circumstance in your life?
• What motivates you?
• Are you a team player?
• Can you describe a situation where you handled a difficult customer?
• Tell me about a time you worked in a team that was dysfunctional.
• Tell me about a time you helped successfully produce a certain work product.
• Tell me about a time you had to juggle several responsibilities.
• Tell me about a time you faced a setback or failure and what you did.
• What adversities have you faced in past employment?

Fucking yes, some of them do. It's obnoxious. I answered "Where do you see yourself if 10 years?" with "as a partner at [this] firm" and a smile. Didn't get a smile back, but did get a callback.
I also was asked my favorite case, and by a fat bald white guy from a lower-third "biglaw" firm, too.
2/3 of my interviews were mainly sports, politics, and current events chit-chat, though, with some questions about what practice group and why.

First, please, please do not overthink this. You are going to a simple dance. The moves are choreographed. You just have to remember some basic steps and not worry about every little thing TLS tells you to. The most important thing is to act confident, speak slowly and calmly. Smile, but don't self-deprecate or act uneasy. They won't ask people on call backs they have pity for, they are looking for personality fit. You don't need a $600 suit. Just look decent.
As for questions, I got stuff like:
Q: Why do you want to work here?
A: you have a rotational system and you know I just am not sure whether Im a lit or corp guy and thing about school is it's all lit! Haha! - Note this also works for whether you want to do corp or lit (unless you know you are reg/environmental/tax/etc.)
Q: How was first year?
A: I loved it. X and X was great. There were a few things I would have done differently, Y and Y, but no complaints. After one year I can say I'm confident I made the right decision to attend law school (lol). I think I enjoy it more that I've taken some time off to work at X.
Q: I see you're involved in generic club X - tell me about it?
A: We do X and X. I was really just looking forward to getting to know some of my classmates and branch out a bit. It's easy for me to get a along with a lot of people and they seemed like a nice bunch. (Note here you do not have to say you love the focus of club X, just that you like clubs and meeting different people.)
Q: Why Boston/DC/Chicago?
A: I'm from the Mid-Atlantic/Northeast/Midwest, and I want to be back in that region to live and work long term. I'm also interviewing in city Y, on the advice of career services who told me it would be wise for me to do so (Note you can ALWAYS blame career services for any interviews another employer finds fishy or whatever and anything else about your "strategy" which again you really don't need).
Q: Why NYC?
A: It's the coolest city in the world! It's where I want to be. Both me and my gf want to be there. I'm also interviewing in city Y, on the advice of career services who told me it would be wise for me to do so
If you have any work experience they will ask you about it. If you studied abroad they may ask you about it. Again, can stick to generalities. Just rehearse a few things ("I loved France, it was beautiful. My girlfriend and I went to France Mountain and had a France picnic. She wants to go back, haha!)
Also: learn to talk about one aspect of your summer experience well - like "for judge X I worked on case X, which involved a 1983 suit brought by a prisoner against..."
And general rule: if it's a smaller firm, talk about how you want to get experience earlier. If it's a bigger firm, talk about how you know the training is excellent and you need to learn the ropes.

Why did you go to law school?
What has been your favorite class so far?
Why should we hire you?
Most of the questions are bullshit softballs. Some firms will just ask you like three or four questions and then say "So what can I tell you about the firm?" Then it's on you to fill the remaining 15-20 minutes. This is a test to weed out the aspies. If you can't carry the conversation by yourself then it's probably an auto-ding. Luckily most lawyers are huge narcissists that love to talk about themselves. Just ask questions that show you're interested in the firm and have done your research. When they're done bragging about themselves find some way to relate it back to yourself and why you would be a good fit for the firm.

Why do you want to be a lawyer?
What do you think a [litigator/corporate/etc] attorney does?
