Everytime I want to quit biglaw, I think about people in Shitlaw

still, they are by far the most relaxed lawyers i know and spend the least amount of time working. most of them are home and not thinking about work by early afternoon every day if they don't have any trial shit happening, which seems rare. it seems like once you are in a position where you are not hustling for clients all the time and have decent staff, that's where the chill lifestyle really sets in. i don't know anything about what it's like if you're less established or really out on your own. |

One guy has this exact lifestyle, making six figs and is home by 3pm most days. I'm sure it can be stressful, but he has a good gig. Has hilarious stories, every day is an adventure.
Another friend of mine was at a firm for a long time, got shitcanned, then went solo crim defense. Loves it, says getting fired was the best thing that ever happened to him |
