I'll start by saying, I would not go down the same life path again. It's a lot of debt, stress and headache, especially for someone with my personality. I would rather be paid a salary and be done with work. In college, I was a chemical engineer and made good money coming out, but let me folks talk me into going into dentistry to support a family.
Nevermind the fact that they have no connections whatsoever to other families so any sort of arranged marriage was out of the question. No, I had to work hard and then find a wife myself. Fair enough, except I'm 5'3.
Women don't care about guys who make 120-150K. I have an Asian friend who is maybe shorter making 300K as an oral surgeon and I'm almost certain he is still a virgin. Being a dentist doesn't turn people off, but it doesn't help at all. Looks and status attract women. |
