If they miss out - which many do, even with their stellar credentials - they don't have very many options. A boutique won't make you a partner without fed gov experience anymore either. For others, esp in flyover, it's an end game. A job where you make decent money (maybe top out around 150), is prestigious, and have a fair amount of autonomy. |
