Date: September 16th, 2014 12:12 AM Author: infuriating stirring trailer park i'm a sociopath, but generally, people are very reluctant to call others out for lying, so even if you suspect that the other person thinks/knows you are lying, you can wait them out and the lie becomes the truth you both accept. if they do call you out on a lie and cite evidence, seize on one or two incorrect facts in their evidence and fight them on those points, make the whole argument about those issues, and when you are able to demonstrate the falsity of those minor claims, act like you have conclusively demonstrated the truth of your whole fabrication. if they have absolute, incorruptible proof of a lie, either feign embarrassment and admit to lying, but lie about you reason for doing so ("those weird texts on my phone were planning a surprise birthday party for you") or continue to deny that you are lying and attack them for not believing you, snooping, or something else ("i can't believe you don't trust me, this is just like the time that you [unrelated bullshit]"). |
