Just started at Cornell law. Paying sticker which is now at $59,360, which doesn't count fees. With cost of living, it's looking to run me about $85,000 a year. Questioning whether it's worth it.

Troll? The obvious answer is NO

You're going to have 300k debt when you start biglaw, and 200k debt when you get pushed out.

There are also some additional "student fees" in that 25K.

Who make up less than 10 percent of each incoming class!

No need to graduate Magna/Coif, bro--just rank in the top half of your class, and you're BIGLAW SECURE.

Cornell doesn't give out all that much money and maintains a very tight 25-75 spread. Almost everyone there is just a mediocre 3.6-3.8/165-168 type.

I will concede that you stand a good chance of obtaining BIGLAW out of Cornell, but one has to realize that BIGLAW is a short career for most people. I am 11 years out of school, and my classmates at Penn Law primarily went into BIGLAW after graduation, yet very few remain. By and large, you won't make as much money in other legal positions, which means your loans will be a huge burden.

I wouldn't go to Cornell for sticker, or Penn for that matter.
