with one exception, the other all fit these descriptions:
1. socially weird and pushy. this can be forgiven since they spent so much time around other military tards, but you'd think they'd acclimate to normal people after a while.
2. loud-mouthed gunners in class and almost always retarded/time-wasters) when they commented (once per class, minimum. seemed seriously impressed with themselves for cobbling together some kind of tangential line of questioning.
3. entitled attitude for jobs, journals, everything. wore the veteran shit on their sleeve and were some of the whiniest bitches in the class when they didn't get what they want.
4. constantly trying to organize 'study groups' and soliciting other collaboration on the listservs. nobody really wanted to do anything with them after first semester 1L when people started to get a sense of what everyone else in the class is like.
5. overtly and loudly political. loved endlessly waxing their opinions while everyone's eyes glazed over with immediate boredom or exasperation.
the exception dude was chill as fuck and never really mentioned serving or made a big deal out of it. i'm guessing not incidentally he was the only one of the group that saw serious combat during his deployment and had some actually prestigious military credentials. the other turds were like former admin staff or navy guys who were in more danger of slipping in the shower than enemy fire. |

The other had legit PTSD and dropped out THIRD YEAR to pursue some nonprofit "mission" in some 3rd world countries. His only 180 quality was being able to put professors in their place and he refused to take shit from them. |

But I will say, yeah, ROTC from prestigious university / academy vets are obviously different from enlisted to state school BA vets, even in elite law schools. Just carry themselves differently |
