I'd say so
S.America: Some routes get TTT AA F, although I have heard they upped their game on their newest 777's, only other F is Awful united to GRU and maybe EZE? and whatever F equipped planes TAM still flies, which are outdated. SQ flies there from BCN, but it's a 77W which isn't a suite (only on the A388).
Africa: I don't think any of the Asian airlines serve the continent with first at all, SQ might, but it isn't A380. Might be able to cop EK or EY from the middle east, I think QR only serves JNB/MPM with a 777 which is J only.
Europe: All the suites coming from Asia are tougher since they are coming from their home hub, same for desirable flights from the middle east.

it's easy to get if you already have some type of amex gold/platinum card (generally business card).
also, chase UR points now transfer 1:1. very easy to open up a bunch of chase personal and biz cards. fly LAX to NRT.
my SQ suites experience is coming up next year.

do u already have an amex account?
it's prob easier to just find a friend who puts a lot of biz expenses on their card to see if they get an offer. this is what happens at work w/ one of my coworkers who puts the biz expenses on the amex and gets the 100k offer once every like 6 months.
or, in the alternative, just open some chase cards like the plebes and get 50k points, which are pretty good too.

Ultimate Rewards recently became a transfer partner of SQ too. they just started running a 70K offer on their Chase Ink Plus card that ends on October 10th:
http://applynow.chase.com/FlexAppWeb/renderApp.do?PID=CFFD2&SPID=FBGY&CELL=6LDK&MSC=1516016578
just make up a sole proprietor business and use your social as the tax id, like a consulting business or something. if you have to call in to get approved you tell them it's a brand new business.
you also have the Chase Ink Bold at 50K (another business card) and the Chase Sapphire Preferred at 40K.
Citi Thank You points are also now transferrable to SQ if you have any of those lying around (Cathay too). the Premier card has a 20K signup bonus (and another 30K in year 2 of having the card). i think there's a 40K bonus for opening a Citigold checking account too. protip: Citigold normally requires a minimum of $50K balance to not have fees, but Citi waives all fees for certain professionals including lawyers. go into the branch and when you're opening the account tell him you're a lawyer and he can flag the account so you don't have any minimum balance requirement.
there's also SPG. those also transfer to SQ, and you get a 20% bonus on all transfers of 20K or more. the Amex SPG has a 35K offer, so with spend you could hit 40K then transfer to SQ in two separate transactions for 50K total.
tl;dr: as of a couple months ago Singapore became one of the only airlines that you can transfer to from all 4 major points programs (MR, UR, ThankYou and SPG).

Don't kick yourself just yet brej. You can still make changes to your itinerary assuming you are using UA miles, in the last week I have changed a previously booked itinerary from Lufthansa first on the long haul portion LGA-YYZ-MUC to EWR-CDG UA F as a placeholder to PHL-FRA-VIE-KIV today with the longhaul leg back on LH F. This is an "if nothing better comes up I'll fly it" ticket, but if I can i'll move the TATL portion to a NYC-FRA LH F flight closer in. Assuming you're using UA miles, LH F availability isn't opened up until you are inside the 14 day window before the flight, so you need to check everyday, and then call UA to make the changes when the flight you want shows a seat available. The availability changes every day, so if the seat isn't there at t+5 days it might be there at t+3. LH F is the only worthwhile F product you can get across the Atlantic with UA miles. SQ blocks J and F space for UA and LX no longer releases F seats to UA.
While the redemption rate for the JFK-FRA suite flight is great, it's ONLY for JFK-FRA, if you have connections onwards or before JFK it would trigger the SQ *A pricing which is pretty lousy. I usually take this when I'm going to NY-Paris because it's easy enough to just buy a cheap $100 1-way FRA-CDG and slum it in coach on the connection. If you have complex/expensive connections from your gateway, not an ideal move.

TG has no flights to N.America, and even when they used to operate an A345 out of LAX, J was the highest class of service. I assume you don't want to route via Europe just to fly TG. Of the options you have across the pacific, ANA is excellent, CA apparently is good on their new 777's, but I flew their old F product on a 747 SFO-PEK and it was pretty terrible. Asiana first is great if you can find a seat. I think they operate F out of JFK, ORD, SFO and LAX. Air India recently joined *A, so if you can find an agent willing to do it, you could string something together with a stop there. If you're dead set on flying LH and TG, UA routing rules do allow for transiting Europe on the way to Asia. So something like JFK-FRA-BKK-Destination would be fine. In fact, under the old award chart it used to be 135k roundtrip N.America-Europe in F and 140k U.S.-Asia in F with the possibility of a stopover in Europe on the way to Asia. When UA changed the award chart and I was burning miles, I tacked on a week in Asia to all my trips to Europe just to fuck them over and make them pay for all the extra flights to get me there and back since it only cost me a worthless extra 5k miles.

My knowledge of Germany is limited to Berlin, Munich and Frankfurt. I would probably give Frankfurt a miss unless it's just to connect. Berlin isn't my favorite city nightlife wise, but there's lots of great history there, especially if you like Cold War stuff. Some good museums, fun to wander around old East Berlin vs. West Berlin, Checkpoint Charley etc... In Munich there's a nice art museum, Dachau is nearby, you can do a day trip to Neuschwanstein, walk around the city, drunk some beers at the Chinese Turm like a good TOURISMPIG and go to beer gardens. I like the laid back Bavarian feel in Munich better. People in Berlin always seem to have a stick up their ass.

AMEX is once again running the targeted 75k/100k MR points offer that RSF mentioned above. It was common knowledge that they discontinued it for a while. The link below confirms that they're running a 75k point promo now, but people in the comments say they're received the 100k offer in the past 2 days as well. This is a targeted offer so you have to call and request it if you aren't targeted. I was successful with the 75k MR promo but I was told I wasn't eligible for the 100k promo since I wasn't already an AMEX Platinum card holder.
