He was a lit dude and got an in house position pretty early (like 4th year) at a major business he had worked for before law school (demz connections). After like 5 years, the business was bought by a person that's terrible to work for, and he was like fuck this, and he landed a partner gig at a biglaw firm. I bet he's gone soon though. My sense was that there was a political issue, and this person either got caught, or was very likely to get caught, in the crossfire.
