Has Michigan really slipped that much in the last 10-15 years?

EDIT: Asking above poasters.

State/DoD civil service policy jobs are extremely competitive. PMF used to be a viable option, but that program has been completely gutted over the last 4-5 years.

CIA analyst hiring is a crap shoot, knowing a critical language is a huge plus, and the military experience gives you a bump.

DIA is probably your best bet, they hire a lot of analysts out of UG and grad school, but most people dislike working there. A good place to get some experience and then try and transfer to another agency/department.

I'm just saying, if you were serious about getting any of these types of jerbs, you would know what PMF and DIA stand for.

PMF=Presidential Management Fellow, 2 year placement in various government departments/agencies. Leads to civil service employment at end of 2 years.

DIA=Defense Intelligence Agency. It's kind of a big deal.

Meh, I was pretty anxious to get out of government service, had no real desire to jump back into the federal government bureaucracy.

What service, branch?
