Seems like very, very few. I only know the criteria for my firm, but it's practically impossible to meet the revenue generation requirements for equity partnership by bringing in new clients, so the only people who are getting equity are those seen as essential to maintaining/expanding business with current clients.

A little more money. More credibility with potential clients or perhaps for inhouse jobs. Main benefit for me is that I do so much delegating and reviewing work, people will respect/fear me more. Won't be as quick to turn down work from me either.
