I read A Time to Kill, The Firm, The Rainmaker and another one (The Pelican Brief or The Client, not sure which) in jr high and liked them okay. I picked up The Firm again last year and thought it was crap (and I have a high tolerance for crap genre fiction). Anything I'm missing out on?

I always wondered why The Partner wasn't made into a movie. it's way better than shit like The Chamber or The Rainmaker

They are all ok. I kinda enjoyed the painted house and I liked bleachers.

Recently read sycamore row and it was pretty entertaining. I read Grisham because I can't bring myself to read anything mentally taxing on vacation.

The Associate is decent with sps ending, and mildly humorous if you've worked in biglaw. it was supposed to be a movie with Shia lebouf

The only Grisham I've read so far. I found it so-so. It def kept you on the edge, but felt a bit sloppy, like put together on a weekend. I have a feeling that IRL stories can be more interesting or hilarious than some fabricated out of law school FBI story.

king of torts is really fun reading (struggling PD makes millions in mass tort cases + insider trading), probably the best rags to riches story in the group

the appeal is pretty interesting - follows a billionaire who tries to buy his way onto a state supreme ct

runaway jury is a fun read, better than the movie
