Good people. Secondary market. Didn't talk #s but got the feeling salary would be ~$150k with small bonuses. Can be crazy pace of work day to day, but predictable 45-50 hour weeks for the most part. Little opportunity for advancement for several years.
So, excited that it could be a lifeline out of the unpredictable biglaw hell, but kind of depressing I wouldn't even have a chance of being great at it and getting rewarded. Just a cog. And a cost center at that that's not respected by the the business people so probably shitty work, just less of it and more predictability. Would be awesome to have a life again, just seems kinda beta to punch in and punch out and not even give yourself a chance to go for it
I could actually make partner and therefore money in biglaw, but it seems to get more miserable as you go along so don't think that's an option either.
Maybe I should say fuck it and give commercial real estate or something a go.
