Every time I need my white privilege illuminated for me, I just need to come into the comments in a thread like this and see how many people throw around coded racist bullshit, how many people are more concerned with businesses getting destroyed or looted than black teenagers being murdered by the police, I can't imagine the fucking terror of being a black person in America. The terror of seeing how many people are one news story away from revealing that all along they were basically fucking Stormfronters. Just look at how many people are straight-up saying this reinforces stereotypes. They're not hiding it. They're just telling the world that they actually think less of all black people because of these events and they are getting thousands of upvotes. They aren't alone. They're the goddamn supermajority. I had to come down this far to find ANYONE who disagreed with this idea that black people are animals. I just want to fucking die.
