Small consumer defense law firm seeks a new admit to add to our growing practice. We primarily represent consumer debtors in collections matters. We are also growing our Plaintiff's side practice and are looking for a new admit well versed in federal civil procedure.

Primary Duties will include:

- Representing consumer clients in civil litigation defense matters, including significant law and motion work

- Prosecuting claims against creditors for abuse of collection and credit reporting laws, both in state and federal court

- Reviewing credit repair files and making recommendations to clients on credit issues

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications

- strong background or coursework in federal civil procedure

- some bankruptcy coursework or experience

- some trial advocacy coursework or experience in court

- bilingual

Training in law and motion practice, basic bankruptcy skills and practical court and trial skills will be provided. New associates can expect to perform at least 1 bench trial in their first year with the firm.

Compensation: Base salary of $40,000 with monthly bonus structure and additional share of recovery from Plaintiff's side work. Negotiable for the right candidate.

Please apply by providing a resume in PDF format ONLY along with a brief "cover letter" email.
