from litigating against them once and being co-defendants another time, all i can say is that it's a generic biglaw firm. nothing particularly stands out.

seems that way, surprising lack of information from google, career services, and peers alike. so your experiences weren't notably good or bad?

pretty much. dont remember any horrible assholes, and they seemed pretty professional. some assocs seemed more competent than others, but that's typical at any firm.

The people I met were friendly. Seemed like a number of non equity partner types but that is a lot of places. If you are in that range of firm as your options then it's an okay place to be

Quality varies. I've mostly interacted with their SV office, but Boston, too. They made some relatively impressive lateral hires a few years back to ramp up their SV office and were sort of hot. I've also dealt with associates there who didn't know basics.

interesting. with which practice areas did you interact? particularly interested in VC and to a lesser extent private equity. thanks for the feedback.

VC in their SV office (company-side and VC-side), with a range of experiences. M&A in their Boston office, but just one deal and don't remember that being particularly notable.

I echo Gregor: It's not the worst place to be. If you like the people, then no reason not to consider them if you're looking at firms in that range.

CR would be to work in the main office I would think. I'm sure there's a different feel in Boston vs. everywhere else. Goodwin Boston (along with Ropes, but sometimes in different groups) dominates the Boston scene. Seems like a good place to be. Also they are having a new building built for them in Boston which is supposed to be very nice.

What are you're other options?
