Date: January 31st, 2015 12:55 PM Author: bronze plaza place of business "my heart goes out to ya. when i lived in a coop i had two special needs kids living above me. the son was 17 but behaved like a 4 y/o. he stayed in the bedroom directly above me, while the single mother and the daughter lived in a bedroom they converted out of the living room. ran arouind like maniacs, flat footed, at all hours of the day and night. the noise was unbearable. they also routinely flooded my bathroom but thats another story.
my coop board was useless. i think they may have been scared of a disability suit or something. talking to her directly was useless. banging on the ceiling made me feel better- but was also useless. I ended up just selling the coop for mental health reasons. i heard the person i sold to moved out about a year later for the same reasons.
if you rent, be thankful. if you own that obviously makes things more complicated.
I've heard of people using white noise machines in the bedroom to drown out the noise while you sleep- but i have no first hand experience with them. might be worth a try.... |
