I didn't sleep at all and I feel like I might fall asleep in traffic or in court.

We have 2 month old babbydood. I had a trial at an agency this week and had to take two of our four witnesses and do all the cross. I stayed in a hotel the night before and paid a service $275 to have someone overnight to tend to the baby so my wife could sleep. I was paranoid about this happening.

180. I wish we had this kid when I was more junior and was responsible for low level bullshit rather than co-chairing hearings and handling my own collective bargaining negotiations. Doing this shit on almost no sleep some days really sucks ass

if you have really good insurance and don't have to pay a lot for drugs, you come out ahead financially. plus you can take raw loads in the ass from strangers and no longer spend a couple months worrying. two HUGE pluses in my book.

Yes, no, and no.

I know it's supposed to suck, but isn't middle of the night nursing supposed to be some magical bonding experience? And it's not like she has to be up for work.

Won't they wake up anyway? And will the mom be able to rationally be like, it's cool, night nurse is on it and go right back to sleep?

we had one for one night the other night. she stayed downstairs in the living room with the baby and wife stayed in bed upstairs, so she never woke up. if you had one long-term, you'd probably just set the kid up in his room and have the night nurse chill in there every night. use white noise machines and you shouldn't hear the crying.
