This was an unmatched battle. luis should have never challenged TBF.
luis's call-out thread was overly weak. What the fuck was he thinking? luis doesnt possess the RAW COGNITIVE HORSEPOWER to judge the merits and defects of another poaster, let alone, someone in the upper echelon of intelligence like TBF--a caliber touched only by a few (fat plodding law beaver, GTO, fiver, ak47, Estrada, sonic youth, MoreDoughHi--to name a few).
Poasters acknowledged luis's defeat without delay after they read TBF's exuberant scholarship. Said scholarship brought forth a thesis--one that thoroughly grasped the impetus of xo.
luis made the effort to redeem himself: to refute TBF's argument. But like a an unskilled archer using his bow to propel arrows at a target and missing, inchoate luis missed TBF's point, throwing incoherent statements at redherrings.
Whatever force luis's objections had, they had none whatsoever on TBF's thesis. His conclusion, premises, and assumptions remained untouched.
I found TBF's argument convincing. luis thinks that a lack of conflict betters man. But he is wrong.
Conflict improves the lot of civilization. It is conflict that induces one to better oneself: to change, grow, adapt. Evolve or die. Indeed, the survival of the fittest. Unless we humans have conflict, we will forever remain in a stagnant state.
