BTW, I'm not a first year, but we are hiring, if anyone is interested and in the Bay Area and has a solid resume from a top 20 school or Hastings/Davis.

bonuses are all hours and originations based....you can make a lot more if you bill a lot above the minimum and bring in a good bit of business....if you had a $400k book and billed 2200 hours as a 7th year, you make about $350k.
