They literally cannot practice osteopathic manipulative therapy in tropical climates, the bones become too pliable. They've been looking for ways around this for years. If they ever do find the middle out say goodbye to Caribbean vacations. AT Still is literally going to buy all the beachfront real estate and build DO school after DO school.

Lol! The medical trolling on this board reaches new levels of absurdity. Something like 80% of students at Caribbean medical schools either fail out of their classes or fail their boards. And even among those who pass, many never match to residencies, and those do match end up in the shittiest residencies possible. So even in the best possible scenario, a Caribbean DO earns somewhere in the low six figures working 60 hours a week doing rectal exams on fats and olds. That sounds so much better than an 160k starting salary in biglaw. And that ignores the fact that 80% of Caribbean medical students will simply fail out with no employable skills whatsoever and $300k in non-dischargeable debt.

It is true that in terms of expected lifetime income/job security that students at even the lowest-ranked MD programs in the U.S. are probably in a better position than law students anywhere other than HYS (and possibly only Y). But the idea that someone at a TTT Caribbean DO school is in a better position than an absolute baller at YLS is ridiculous.

Also you can't really compare Yale law school with a Caribbean medical school, haha. The type of people going to a Caribbean med school would NOT have been able to get into a top 10 law school and get BIGLAW. So for them, medicine is probably the only way to earn a 6 figure income
