Undergraduate Black 3.3% Asian 38.4% Non-Hispanic White 27.6% Hispanic (of any race) 13.0% Native American 0.6% International 12.9% Other/Unknown 4.2%
At least HALF of the white kids are SHITLIB (cause c'mon, why do you think whites attend UC Berkeley @ the UG level? to protest with other white kids and assemble hordes of minorities to hate the white man).
Asians are the only cohort to not give a fuck about SOCIAL ACTIVISM or SJW shit.

Shockingly, people become liberal once they get there. Most students are on the fence and they drink the Marxist kool-aid by spending too much time at I-House or FSM.
2) STEM major, interned with a bigpharma for 3 summers. Offered a job there, but copped CCN on down. No SA offer because I got medianpwned hard 1L.
3) It's still great for science and I have no regrets about going there, I turned down Ivies based on that rep alone [only applied to say I turned down an Ivy, frankly] (+ copped that sweet in-state tuition with $$$ so I went almost for free), and still recommend it for STEM. Elsewhere, I recommend it if your a CA resident and get dinged at CalTech/MIT (as I was). |

Within those departments, there's strong camaraderie because we secretly look down on the other kids because the classes are basically run by GSIs rather than a Prof.
Are you saying you should go out of state for STEM? I disagree, that's generally the one area State U's still give a damn about. Pretty much every state tries to have one school to send their geeks. |
