this is cheap crap indistinguishable from cheap khaki or jeans. I thought at least Italian twill is what I need..

btw found this site that gives advice on wear:

A turtleneck is a great addition to your winter wardrobe. This versatile knit looks great underneath a sport coat or blazer, or even on its own. Not only is a turtleneck a great layering piece, but the utilitarian side of this sweater will also keep you warm when the weather takes a turn for the worst. Opt for either a thick wool turtleneck that can be worn on its own or, if thin but warm, cashmere that allows for layering

no, they are not the same at all, chinos are light and good for summer, you'd be sweating your balls off in khaki

"Chinos are dressier pants, which makes them unsuitable for manual labor. While some men may wear khakis for yard work, chinos are not durable enough for that type of activity. Chinos are much better for professional work day activities. They are also excellent for formal events, including dinner parties and weddings. They can be worn as easily for casual evenings as for night clubs. Like khakis, many designers now treat chinos with chemicals that make them wrinkle-resistant. The light weave that constitutes chinos make them much less likely to wrinkle than some other styles of pants. When ironing is necessary, it is often quick work. This is another reason that busy professionals prefer true chinos to khakis."

There’s no question that every man should have a selection of cashmere sweaters, which are named after the Kashmir goats that produce the fiber. Sweaters are a classic way to layer this fall, and cashmere’s versatility and natural quality means each of these pieces can be mixed in with your current wardrobe. Depending on how the yarns are knit and whether the finished sweater is washed, you’ll have options that span from chunky American comfort to sleek, European-style v-necks. For the first time, Purple Label is using 14-guage Italian cashmere yarns, which provides a feel and warmth worth investing in. Try the new weight in a brightly-colored cardigan, just one sophisticated way to upgrade your workaday wardrobe.

Get a jacket that's at least half-canvassed and ideally full-canvassed. It should be made of wool. Better if made in US/UK/Italy. Get it tailored after you buy it. Hang it up when you're done wearing it. Don't dry clean too often. Godspeed.

Re canvassing, read this:

http://www.artofmanliness.com/2010/02/12/the-art-of-manliness-suit-school-part-i-fused-vs-canvassed-suits/

I don't think Men's Warehouse is the best place to start picking up jackets that you want to own for a while and use on a consistent basis; I don't think their quality is that great. (Though maybe a menswarehouseexpertbro would disagree -- I don't know too much about the store.)

I'd probably point you toward something like Brooks Brothers or Suitsupply or Knotstandard as a good place to start picking up sport coats that are decently made.

Brother, unfortunately, again, I don't know enough to say whether you should completely stay away (or not) from Men's Warehouse. My instinct is to tell you "don't buy anything from them -- it's all crap." But I don't really shop there; it's possible they do have some decent pieces.

My recommendation is, if you're willing to spend a bit more, try one of those companies I listed above. You'll get decent quality that will last you for a while. Brooks Brothers makes good sport coats and suits, especially for when you're getting started like it sounds like you are--they're a canonical American menswear manufacturer. My guess is a lot of the airport shops just have their very lowest lines, like "Essentials." If you decide on Brooks, you'd want to get their 1818 line, and you should go into a full retail store if possible.

yeah, i was just thinking of checking out this deal at 2 for 1 at men's wearhouse and they already have this sportcoat on sale for $49.99 even if it is complete crap, buying it at $25/piece still has to have some value. but otherwise i think i'll just stick to Macy's.. they occasionally have some good brands on huge sale.. yeah the bb selections at airports had very limited selections. but those ugly sportcoats still cost >$200 and they were "on sale". and the salesman was 100% homosexual. that's what i got that homos and black pimps shop at bb.

as for me starting out. careerwise basically started and finished. next time i'll go on a job interview may be 5yrs from now. otherwise i don't even have to wear anything other than scrubs. so i only need clothing for when i go on dates with Russian girls. they believe in either british or Italian style.

Brother, if it's $25 for a sport coat, it will probably be not so good quality but on the other hand it's only $25 lol Go ahead and buy a few. And you can always save up for a bigger purchase later on. The greatbort is here to advise you. P.S. Dress for yourself, not for women. Good luck brother. *shakes your hand with confidence and optimism for you and your future*

How many sport coats do I need?

We think there are three essential jackets every man should own. A solid blazer—navy is a classic choice—exudes timeless confidence: It can be worn casually with chinos and an oxford or dressed up with a more formal pant, shirt and tie. A tweed blazer is a fall essential that works well with cords, jeans or flannel. As the weather gets cooler, it can also be worn in place of a winter overcoat when layered with a cashmere or wool sweater or turtleneck. During the warmer months, nothing exudes laidback style more than a linen sport coat, which instantly dresses up everything from a mercerized cotton polo to a tailored shirt

more from askandy forum:

But he lives in Russia. Consider the winter lows and then the difference between winter and summer. You've developed thin blood from living in AZ. By the time his thins out for summer, there's a foot of snow on the grown again.

I don't know how thin blood relates to the heat but I do know a lot of people die from heart attacks if they move from North to South as it is a huge stress. The indigenous Southerners can endure the extreme heat relatively easily. I'm also sure it is way easier to get through the heat if you live in some arid cities as opposed to humid ones like New York. In the Finnish sauna I can endure around 200 F. In the Turkish bath I can endure only around 120F though.
