HELP ME BUY SHOES (BOOR)

I did see most people interviewed in allen Edmonds. anyway that is behind me and no more interviews, only casual. So I am thiking of buying 2 pairs of quality loafers to go to restaurants, museums and just walk around.. so what's the best I can do at Sacks or Nordstroms, spending as little as possible?
my research indicates that good penny loafers must not have beef rolls and must not be square toed. also good to have 1" heel to differentiate from drivers.. |

Brooks Brothers usually has good options in their online sale section. You can order, and then return in store if it doesn't work out. Allen Edmonds allows the same for their outlet/second shoes. |

I was looking at Nordstrom rack, I might make a trip to their store tomorrow, but is there anything to look at besides AE? also I know that AE is known for "durability" but do they actually look good? post something that actually looks good? I was not impressed with their park avenues, and that's why I never even thought about their loafers. but my other concern is theyre made for people with girly feet. my foot is not long, but it is exactly 4" wide at the base of the fingers and both my 2nd and 3rd toes are longer than the big toe. |

I liked the pebble on the first 1 and that it's Italian. the only thing that's bad is the beefroll(something that is also very common in americans). as for the heel, I just think it's important to have a heel to make me look taller, I don't think the heel actually makes the shoe more comfortable. so link to any "pretty" shoes for <$500? I chose the letter. because they actually feet me the best(they have a square toe duh). the allen Edmonds looked very ugly and did not fit me at all. santanis actually feet quite well, and they were clearly better looking. but I felt $800 was too much. so now if there is any sale on santani loafers, i'll take it. but theyre only at nordstroms, and that store rarely goes >30% off, especially for good brands.
