Saw a psych for a couple months who gave me a prescription but was also full of crap. Would like to move on to new dr but would prefer clean slate. No diagnosis on invoices besides "mood disorder nos." but I don't know how this whole thing works. Assume if I disclose previous mental health treatment, new doc won't treat without file. And I don't want first doc's notes to be an issue.
Any way for new doc to find out? What about see I've been prescribed two months of meds already?

what the heck? You got prescribed controlled shit for "mood disorders"?
Usually they just kick you out with an SSRI, which is Rx only but not controlled.
How bad is the controlled substance such that you really don't want a new psych to know?

It's not that bad. Just generic adderall. What I went in for. What I did not bargain on was the bullying into psychotherapy and then just total toolishness of the dude who was "very concerned" and thought I had fifty million things wrong with me despite admitting I was functional in work/socially. "A mask!" "Why are you so resistant!" "Do you always have problems accepting help from people?" "You must really fear rejection."
Do think the adderall's helping. Not interested in the side of nonsense. So I guess I need a cool doctor who won't care or a way to keep supplied for another five months.

lol, that comes with the territory mang. In fact, it'd be the rare doc who just hands out prescriptions without also pushing the psychotalk shit, and the ones who report controlled shit for 6months/1yr/however long are the type of docs who'll be suspicious of a patient who rejects the psychotalk, which they'll interpret as "I got what I came here for doc, I'm outta here."
Which is why I just nod my head at "are you continuing therapy with..."
With that said, brother, I don't know if you're already a practicing biglawyer who just copped an Adderall script for the first time, but have you read threads like these:

Adderall always comes with an initial honeymoon glow of "I think it's working you guys!" But that will soon dissipate into "ran out of Adderall script 3 weeks early. Can't bring myself to brush my teeth."
You'll probably think "no way bro, that ain't me. I take it only every now and then and only low doses."
But I was where you were a year ago, and I had that same thought.
