Do you need a 15 or 20 AMP circuit and do you have the circuit 100% dedicated to the machine? I assume an Elliptical uses much less power.

Do you have an issue with the circuit breaker tripping in the house?

No. Why the fuck would they design and sell a consumer treadmill that cannot work in normal outlets?

This is not a gym or some shit where there are 45 plugged in.

I dunno, my fucking dyson vacuum pops the breaker occasionally. I assume a treadmill that can go 12 mph + would use up as much juice.

Serious Q: why would you purchase a treadmill/elliptical when you live where it is never too cold to exercise outside?

because i do not live alone and some females don't like to run when it's "hot" or "cold" for that matter.

Which is the only reason I am considering an elliptical - I might not even use it much if at all.

concept2 rowing machine owner - stationary bikes, treadmills, and ellipticals are all stimtwinks

concept2 doesn't even need to be plugged in, it powers itself off your rowing + a battery to supplement at certain times like before you start rowing

I burned out the motor on my TM after 2200 miles and replaced it with a used one off eBay for $40. runs fine on a standard 15 amp breaker over 14/2 romex.

it's in my office. I don't know what an arc shielded circuit is. it's not GFCI if that's what you mean. just a regular wall outlet. never had it trip.

Ellipticals don't have motors like treadmills, do they? Pretty sure the only thing it needs power for is the LED display.
