She had never met Ms. Holleran, but she knew the student was popular, attractive and talented. In a blog post soon afterward, Ms. DeWitt would write: “What the hell, girl?! I was supposed to be the one who went first! You had so much to live for!”

The other thing that surprised me was that she wanted to be a math teacher. Not for nothing, but why wouldn't you just take a full scholly at some god state school if you want to be a teacher, instead of spending $250k at non-Wharton Penn? |

Brown has its uber-lib total freedom schtick, Dartmouth is fratty and in a very small town it dominates, Columbia is in MFH. Non-Wharton Penn and Cornell don't have those aspects and are more clearly on s lesser tier, at least to me (maybe Penn has something I don't know about).
That said Dartmouth seems to be suiciding based on XO's coverage of it so maybe it'll join this lower tier soon. Aren't they on the brink of banning frats? |
