Given today's job market, should a sane person go to T7-T14 w/ $$$ ($100,000-120,000) in scholarship?

Half would be good enough? That's still in the upwards of $100,000 in loans, which just affirms that law schools are way expensive these days.

How would you rank T7-14s in terms of placement? I looked into the numbers already, of course, but I heard you can't just trust these numbers schools put out.

Also, how much $$$ would make attending one of these even remotely worth it?

a big part of that is whether you have the personality of a lawyer

if u read this tweetblog the answer is probably "no" and no scholarship should change your mind

titcr. going to law school today means you HAVE TO DO BIGLAW. doing biglaw means sitting in a cube, all day, every day looking at a computer screen (and no, not internet porn, sports, netflix, poasting etc, which is what you are used to). you will be sitting very still doing microsoft office. if this is not for you, DO NOT GO TO LAW SCHOOl.

Depends on your other options and whether you have a plan that results in justifying the cost of attendance (including the time). In other words, if you're just going to be the guy that quits biglaw in 6 months because "omg, they work me 60+ hours a week and treat me like shit" then you probably should find something else to do with your life.

CR, but the kicker is you will never truly know the answer to that question without experiencing it for yourself. For instance, many poasters talk about how easy it is to coast for a few years.

there was a poster who wrote out a very succinct response to this very question, but can't find it. the argument was that law school is not a great option, and you're agreeing to spend your 20/early 30's stressed out, in debt etc. but if you put in your time, this path gives you lots "bites of the apple" later on. for many of us, this will be as close as we get to the forbidden fruit

the real questions is if LS is credited considering other options, including MBA programs

Some can coast for a few years, but I wouldn't assume that'll be you. That assumes you end up in the right place at the right time and end up working for the right sorts of people. There are also different definitions of "coasting." What one person considers coasting is another person's hell on earth.
