i don't even know what you call my generation. Brainwashed but tech-savvy? Hipster? I graduated high school in 2007. wondering what older people think of my generation.

Too much "liking," too much amateurism, too much "social justice" emotivism and groupthink (and I'm saying this as a liberal). Too little isolation, hardness, ruthless originality. In short, too much internet. When you have kids, they will rebel against you by turning off their tracking devices and never going online.

"When you have kids, they will rebel against you by turning off their tracking devices and never going online."

This would be 180^180, and I'd pretty much let my kids get away with anything in this scenario

That said not a fucking chance

I don't get the obsession people your age have with television shows, and I don't care how good the shows are or whatever, it's still ridiculous.

Before the internet was big, people did catch the shows they liked on a certain station at a certain time, but that was it. You didn't buy some boxed VHS set of all of the episodes and spend an entire day watching it unless you were a shut-in. Even taping it to watch later was not too common.

I just don't get it.
