Have about 270k in student loans and also about 270k in liquid assets.

I'm on PAYE making 75k/yr salary in a job in administrative law.

I'm choosing not to pay the loans so that I can use PAYE as an insurance program in case I ever lose my job. I'm also hoping for massive inflation through QE or maybe a student loan forgiveness bill.

Meanwhile, I've invested the 270k as follows:

75k in VFFVX (Vanguard target retirement 2055)

75k in VGHAX (Vanguard Health Care Fund Admiral shares)

75k in GOOG(le)

~40k in Goldman Sachs

Kind of a high risk portfolio but I'm cool with it. I would be open to portfolio advise that lowers my risk without lowering my expected reward, if anyone has any tips about weaknesses in my strategy. I'm probably holding only about 2-3 percent bonds VIA VFFVX.

1. I wanted to raise the risk/return on my portfolio above the funds I was holding.

2. I am a YouTube insider and can see that what Google is doing with advertisements on that platform (esp w/ regard to the mobile apps) is going to be profitable.

3. GS is too big to fail, if anything ever was, and they do retarded shit like the aluminum scam without ever getting in trouble for it.

How do you have 270K liquid when you make shit money?

Diversify more.

Put 50k into LendingClub.

Reach out to some hard money lenders / brokers, and ask to invest on some of their deals. Put ~50k to that.

Anyone have thoughts/criticism about not paying back the loans? Surprised no one commenting on that element.

Have you looked into RE at all? Reits or even buying a fucking 4 unit would prob beat what your doing now.

Also is the 270k from drug money? If so then you should just stick with that racket. Drugs always beats the market.

A portfolio of GOOG/DIS/JBLU/AMZN/AAPL will beat the market

I would take your Goldman Sachs money and make a high risk bet on something undervalued, like throw it all into CBK and wait for a couple years. It's a micro cap apparel retailer that historically trades $4-10 buts at like $1.65 right now because of horrible earnings lately and a possible shareholder lawsuit. It has good financials though. Isn't going bankrupt any time soon and isn't highly leveraged. The potential reward is the earnings comeback in the next yr or so and the stock shoots back up to $5.00. Another possibility is the company gets bought out, which would net you a good profit too.

Why the fuck are taxpayers subsidizing the student loan bills of someone with 270k in liquid investments. Fuck this fucking country, you should be paying full freight for the money you borrowed.
